Brittany Lee is a Finalist For Statewide Achievement Award


Brittany Lee is an Alachua County blueberry producer and an Alachua County Farm Bureau board member.

GAINESVILLE, FL — Alachua County Farm Bureau Board Member Brittany Lee is one of three finalists for the Florida Farm Bureau Federation’s Young Farmers & Rancher program Achievement Award. The other finalists are John Douglas and DeAnne Carter of Suwannee County and Kelly Mosley of Clay County.  Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers are members between the ages of 18-35 who have a desire to network, share ideas, participate in community projects and hone their leadership skills. The Florida Farm Bureau has an array of opportunities for this group of young agriculturists to become strong leaders for the future of agriculture.

The winner of the Florida Achievement Award competition will enter the national Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) Achievement Award competition. Florida Farm Bureau, as part of the state recognition award, will provide an expenses-paid trip to the AFBF Annual Convention January 7-10 at Phoenix, Arizona. Recognition will be given to all national competitors in attendance at the AFBF Annual Convention.

Selection of the winning YF&R competitor is based on his/her efforts in production agriculture and leadership achievement. The ideal candidate(s) for the Achievement Award is an individual or couple involved in production agriculture with a majority of his/her income subject to normal production risks.
